Centriplus Re-Engineering Major Components

Our customer operating multiple large decanter centrifuges in the utilities sector had a problem. The steel hoods of nearly all of their machine were starting to rot at the hinges and becoming increasing difficult to maintain. Not only were they unsightly but in some cases they were becoming dangerous.
The OEM had little interest in providing a solution and the cost quoted were eye watering.
Working closely with Centriplus we were able to offer a solution. The machine hoods were examined and using precision three-dimensional digital measuring devices, comprehensive three-dimensional drawings were created. Because these are stored digitally and can be used to programme machine tools it is possible to produce one or many items and each one identical.

This is at the heart of the Centriplus organisation. The ability to re-manufacture OEM parts at substantially lower cost to the end customer.

The hood replacements were delivered to Centri-Force in the UK and we organised the logistics and replacement on site. The customer was so happy that it had all gone well and promptly ordered a second batch of hood covers.
